St Hugo

The ruins of William Jacob's (one of the early settlers to the region) winery, built more than 150 years ago, have been lovingly restored to become the home of St Hugo. The space was created by Colin Gramp in honour of his father, Hugo Gramp, whose vision remains influential to the label today. The experience begins as you enter the driveway, which is bordered by cork trees that were planted more than 50 years ago by Hugo's son, Colin. There are only a few of this type of tree in Australia and they make a fitting welcome to this special place. Get comfortable at the lounge and be guided through a flight of wines, wander through the vineyards, or go all out with a degustation menu at the restaurant.

Perfect for: Getting a taste of the region's history. Open 10.30am to 4.30pm daily. Summary outline example.
